Resident Engineer

Category: Construction Management

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Administer the Construction Contract between the client and the contractor.
  • Lead and manage the successful implementation of construction projects.
  • Oversee and manage a Construction Management team to perform quality assurance inspections to achieve compliance with contract plans and specifications.
  • Management of field staff, including inspectors and projects engineers.
  • Develop monthly construction progress reports.
  • Resolution of construction disputes.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction related work.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Desire to grow within a dynamic organization.
  • Ability to make effective decisions concerning field problems and work in progress.

Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to provide quality customer service and support.
  • Assist in administering the construction contract.
  • Develop a proficient understanding of contract documents, and effectively communicate requirements to the team.
  • Maintain project logs and files (RFI, Submittal, Change Orders).
  • Keep accurate project records.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for project update meetings.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred. If not, must be working towards obtaining PE.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Good work ethic, self-directed worker.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Desire to grow within a dynamic organization.
  • Able to read and understand project contracts, specifications, and drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Construction Inspector

Category: Construction Management

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible to perform inspecting and monitoring construction projects to ensure work performed by contractor meets contract requirements and ensure overall compliance.
  • Record and file necessary documents pertaining to construction progress including daily field diaries and as-built plans.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction inspection experience.
  • Understanding of construction means and methods.
  • Able to read and understand project contracts, specifications, and drawings.
  • Construction Experience with familiarity with construction activities and scheduling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Good at managing personalities in a construction environment.
  • ACI / HDOT Certified in material sampling (Concrete, Bituminous, Soil & Aggregates).
